From Concern to Action

THE CURRENT SITUATION AND WHAT I’M DOING ABOUT IT

The latest CAASPP results show that SSFUSD still has work to do when it comes to student achievement.

Only 49.56% ELA and 39.85% math met or exceeded standards districtwide in 2025.

The data also show substantial achievement gaps. For example, economically disadvantaged students were at 32.8% proficient/advanced in ELA and 24.2% in math, compared with approximately 63.0% and 52.5%, respectively, for students who were not economically disadvantaged.

Test results have remained around the same level for the past 7 years. It is time we provide students and staff with the necessary resources and support to see real change. Our students are capable of so much more.

Only 49% of ELA Students and 39% of Math Students meet District standards.

District scores remain around the same level as several years ago. Our students deserve better.
