Why I'm Running

As a parent of two daughters in SSFUSD, I want what every parent wants: strong schools, supported teachers, and an education that prepares our children for their future.

But too many students are struggling with reading and math, and academic progress has been too slow. This just isn’t good enough for our kids.

I’m running to change that. I bring more than 20 years of finance experience and a commitment to asking hard questions, listening to educators and families, and making sure our spending puts students first.

My priorities are:

  • Get the basics right. Strengthen reading, writing and math, help struggling students early, and give families clear progress reports.

  • Support teachers and staff. Give educators the resources and time to help students succeed.

  • Make every dollar count. Hold budgets and bond spending accountable, and plan for declining enrollment before it forces rushed cuts.

  • Build a path for every student. Expand college preparation, vocational classes, internships and apprenticeships.

  • Keep schools safe and welcoming. Support student mental health and classrooms where every child can learn.

  • Give families a real voice. Involve parents before major decisions are made.

Our students need results. Our teachers need support. Our families deserve a voice.
